Leeds United fans have been giving their reaction to their first game back in the Premier League.
The Whites were given arguably the toughest test of the season in their first match as they faced reigning Premier League Champions Liverpool at Anfield.
However, despite eventually falling to a 4-3 loss, Leeds more than held their own against Jurgen Klopp’s men, coming back from behind on three occasions before eventually succumbing to a late penalty.
Things didn’t start well for Leeds when Liverpool were awarded a fourth-minute penalty, an opportunity that Mo Salah didn’t miss.
However, Jack Harrison struck eight minutes later before Virgil van Dijk put the Reds ahead again.
But Leeds weren’t done there as Patrick Bamford capitalised on a defensive mistake.
Salah again put Liverpool back on the front foot before the half-time whistle.
Leeds thought they had taken something from the game thanks to Mateusz Klich’s 66th-minute strike.
But an 88th-minute penalty for Liverpool proved to be one step too far for the Whites to cause an upset.
Here is how fans reacted immediately after the game.
Leeds are back in action on Wednesday night when they take on League One side Hull City in the EFL Cup second round.
They are back in Premier League action when they host fellow promoted side Fulham next Saturday.
Should the Whites give a similar performance, they will be confident of picking up their first three points of the season.
