‘We asked Trump to stop playing YMCA’, says singer Victor Willis in resurfaced interview

Victor Wills, lead singer of The Village People, had previously asked Donald Trump to stop playing his band's music at political rallies.
In a resurfaced interview with BBC News World America, Wills clarified that while he appreciated fans enjoying ' YMCA '.
Neither he nor the group ever endorsed Trump.
Wills explicitly stated that they had requested Trump to cease using their music at his events.
The singer, aged 75, died on Monday, 29 June, after a short illness.
