We asked Glaswegians if you always need to flag down a bus- here's what you said

There's a few things that can cause a debate here in our city. Brown or red sauce? Cokeyback or a co-carry? Chip butty or roll and chips? Divisive topics here are two a penny.

But there is certainly one thing we can all agree on.

Yesterday we asked you, our lovely Glasgow Live readers, whether you need to always put your hand out to wave down a bus driver.

And we're please to tell you, drum roll please, that we can all agree!

It was a pretty unanimous decision out there: if you don't stick your arm out you risk watching the driver whizz past you...and leaving you hoping the next bus isn't too far away.

Why the drivers don't stop, we're not quite sure. Maybe it's because we're a notoriously friendly bunch - so we need to remind the drivers we're not just at the bus stop for a natter.

Here's some of your best replies. Never change, Glasgow, never change.

"I used to do the hokey Cokie but I’ve turned myself around."

- Alastair Find

"I usually throw the wee woman beside me on the road. That’s the only way the buses stop in Castlemilk."

- Martin McLellan

"DEFO Always, otherwise your in for a very long wait."

- Frances MacKenzie

"Btw that and to say "thanks driver" is also appreciated in this town."

- Eulogio Dominguez

"Always keep a tray of eggs handy for when the driver ignores ye."

- Mark Keenan

"I usually find myself waving one finger and getting the train instead."

- Mairtín Mac Aodha
