'We are looking and so are the owners' - Notts County assessing potential transfer targets

Neil Cox has not ruled out Notts County dipping into the transfer market next month and revealed they are already looking at potential targets.

The Football League transfer window opens in January when players are expected to become available with Notts seeking a strong second half to the season.

With the squad currently missing four first-team players through injury, Notts have used their squad to maximum effect in recent weeks.

But as they look to cement their position in the top seven, assistant boss Cox says they will assess what they may need once the Christmas run of fixtures is over.

“We are looking and so are the new owners,” he said.

“They are sending us names and we are also sending them people that we like.

“Until we get through this period, you aren’t sure exactly what you want.

“You might say you want a forward, then three defenders get injured.

“When the window opens, we will have a look at the squad and see if we do need anything.”
