"We are back" - Mel B teases potential Spice Girls 2023 reunion tour

It seems that the Spice Girls are "Never Going To Give Up On The Good Times", at least according to Mel B's latest social media post. The singer took to Instagram to share the release of their 25th anniversary edition of their hit 1997 album Spiceworld, but also hinted at a possible reunion tour.

The Spice Girls announced a new and expanded 25th anniversary edition of the 1997 album on Tuesday, which will be released on November 4. Sharing the news to her 1.5m followers yesterday, Mel B used the hashtag spicetour2023, suggesting a reunion tour may be on the cards.

Posted alongside a video documenting the band over the past 25 years, Mel B said: "To ALL our fans get ready for #spiceworld25 yippppeieee its here at long last!!!! Boom #girlpower #foryou #friendshipneverends #spicetour2023." The other band members have not confirmed or denied a tour is on the cards, however a few weeks ago Mel C shared a post of their London 2012 Olympics performance and said: "Can't wait for more exciting adventures with my girls", while Emma Bunton shared a post about the 25th anniversary edition.

No official dates or information relating to a 2023 Spice Girls tour has been confirmed, however Mel B's post has got some fans very excited. One said: "You are the best! Yes, please #spicetour2023." Another replied: "I need to be there xxx".

The last time the Spice Girls toured was 2019, when their successful stadium tour sold out 13 dates across the UK. It was there first tour as a four piece without Victoria Beckham, and it is not clear if she would return for a 2023 reboot.

Meanwhile, their latest publication, 'Spiceworld 25', will feature demos, new remixes and unreleased live recordings and tracks including the much-anticipated 'Step To Me'. A statement from the group about the release said: "The 'Spiceworld' era was such as fun time for us; we'd just had a number one album with Spice, we we travelling all over the world and meeting our amazing fans, we released our second album AND we had our very own movie!

"Who would've thought it? It's crazy to think 25 years have passed."

Spiceworld was the second studio album from the 90s hitmakers and was released by Virgin Records in November 1997. The seminal album played a big part in heightening the so-called "Spicemania" of the time with tracks including Spice Up Your Life, Stop, and Viva Forever becoming cult favourites.
