'We are aware' - RB Salzburg chief makes Karim Adeyemi transfer admission amid Liverpool links

Red Bull Salzburg president Harald Lurzerg has revealed that his club are expecting Karim Adeyemi to leave next summer.

The 19-year-old has emerged as a rumoured transfer target for Liverpool, with some reports suggesting Jurgen Klopp's side have been monitoring his progress since 2018.

Adeyemi has been in fine form since the beginning of the campaign, scoring 15 times and claiming two assists in 23 games in all competitions so far this season.

His impressive displays have led to increased talk of a move, with the Reds, Barcelona and Bayern Munich all being talked about as possible destinations.

And Lurzerg has effectively confirmed that the youngster will be allowed to leave the club in next summer’s transfer window.

“We are aware that Karim will probably take the next step next summer,” he told Bild podcast Bayern Insider.

But speaking back in December, Adeyemi cast doubt on the possibility of signing for Liverpool after admitting he would gladly re-join Bayern Munich should an offer be made.

“If (Bayern) made me an offer, I think I would choose that path,” he told Spanish publication Marca.

“I want to show them what I can do, who I am and that it was a mistake to let me go. That motivates me.”
