‘We all know’: Pete Hegseth is under formal investigation for ‘war crimes’, but people think he will be excused

Like a father, Donald Trump may sometimes be pissed at his children (meaning his Republican stooges), but he is always ready to forgive them, and people believe that he would be doing the same thing again.

Recently, it was revealed that United States Secretary of War Pete Hegseth would be put under formal investigation for his actions during his troop’s early September Caribbean Sea patrol that saw them attacking and killing several people in a vessel who allegedly had ties to drug trafficking. An article from The Washington Post claimed that Hegseth asked his officers to “kill everybody”, which is why, after the initial firing, when two people were still alive, the special operations commander who was in charge of the military operation ordered for a second round of firing. If that is the case, then Hegseth could be tried for “war crimes” for unlawfully killing the survivors of the vessel when they were potentially of no threat.

Pete Hegseth’s actions surrounding the Caribbean Sea patrols have drawn significant criticism from the American public. People on the internet are especially triggered and have a lot to say. A lot of them believe that Hegseth will be pardoned if brought to justice, as he has been showing his unwavering support for the Republicans and Donald Trump for a long time, who, in his second term, has established a reputation for granting clemency to all kinds of offenders. Others are sceptical that the investigation will even progress that far, alluding that Trump and his friends will dismiss it even before it gets serious.

One person on X (formerly Twitter) writes:

“Well, we all know someone who will pardon him …”

Another individual states:

“Hegseth more than likely already has a blanket pardon. As for the military members, Trump has already shown he’s willing to give military members pardons for murder and committing war crimes.”

Several others shared similar opinions on Pete Hegseth.
