We all can relate to Dwayne Haskins in desire to hear a new team name

It’s been a rather long week in Washington for both fans and players of the Washington football team, and quarterback Dwayne Haskins wants to know a simple thing.

Do they have a new name yet?

It may not be the most pressing matter that the front office is dealing with, especially after 15 women came forward and accused several staff members of both verbal and sexual abuse over the past decade and change. While the cleanup of that is going on, though, the team is supposed to be trying to find a  new name for the team that appeases everyone.

We haven’t heard any updates on the name change in the past few days, for good reason, but don’t be surprised if some news comes out this week about the process going forward. Not only do fans want to hear of a new name, but the team needs to act as fast as possible if they are going to implement the name and mascot in the 2020 season.

The Redwolves still seems to be the leader in the clubhouse and fan favorite in Washington, but there is also a good chance that both the Warriors and Redtails get chosen as well. Whether or not Dan Snyder and Ron Rivera choose to listen to fans’ opinions is unclear, but they have an easy, and much-needed win staring them in the face.
