Wayne Rooney responds to heartwarming video from young Everton fans in isolation

Wayne Rooney has responded to a heart-warming video taking the world by storm which features two young Everton fans in isolation.

Former Blues player Sean O'Hanlon, who never made an appearance for the first team, posted footage on his Twitter account that went viral over the weekend.

The video shows his two sons, both dressed in Everton kits, recreating famous goals from the last few years in their back garden as the country continues periods of self-isolation due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The first strike the boys pay homage to in their compilation is Rooney's long-range effort against West Ham in 2017 at Goodison Park to round off a 4-0 win for the Blues.

Everton shared the video on their official Twitter account, and the now-Derby County man has now also shared his response too.

AS Roma have also been impressed by the video, with their account uploading a side-by-side video of a Francesco Totti goal recreated by the boys next to a clip of the real thing.
