Wayne Rooney 'livid' at brother pictured with arm round Tommy Robinson in toilets

Wayne Rooney is furious after his brother was filmed looking very friendly with far-right activist Tommy Robinson.

Footage has emerged of Rooney’s younger sibling Graham, 31, smiling with his arm around the former EDL leader during a night out.

Another man, who is unidentified, is also seen in a Liverpool pub’s toilets and can be heard shouting: “Tommy Robinson's our new sponsor.”

Controversial Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, replies: “Go on Rooney” while the footballer's brother remains quiet.

It is claimed by The Sun that Rooney, 33, who currently plies his trade in the MLS with DC United, is ‘furious’ with his brother.

The former England and Manchester United captain has never stated his political views, but he is said to be hugely embarrassed by the saga.

A source told The Sun: “Wayne has spent the last 17 years sharing dressing rooms with players from every creed, colour and race.

“He will be furious about what Graham has done. He has brought shame on the family name.”

The footage is believed to be filmed inside the Slaughter House pub in Liverpool following Robinson's appearance at a rally in Merseyside.

Robinson is in the city as part of a tour of the country after he announced his candidacy in Thursday's European elections.

The source added: "Wayne has no truck with Tommy Robinson or his politics.

"All he can hope is that his brother wasn’t fully aware of who he was with and what he was doing.”

Graham, who started out at the same youth team as his brother but never turned professional, is the middle Rooney sibling.

His younger brother John, 28, and older brother Wayne all started out at Everton youth team, with the latter going on to represent the Toffees before sealing a big-money move to United.
