Police are understood to have launched an investigation after photos of Wayne Rooney sleeping were posted on social media.

The pals posted photos posing with Rooney, England’s all-time top scorer with 53 goals.
It has been reported Greater Manchester Police is investigating over some photos and clips, which we have not published, in which Rooney may have been the victim of a set up.
It's believed Rooney fell asleep and was unaware of the snaps being taken without his consent, with the 35-year-old sitting upright in a hotel room chair with his hands in his pockets.
There is no suggestion Rooney did anything untoward or behaved inappropriately and a friend of the women told The Sun there was no sexual contact.
A video clip of one of the women joking around and apparently flashing her bum near the unconscious Premier League star has also been viewed over 175,000 times.
In another pic - captioned "no words no papz" - he is gesticulating with his right hand while holding a glass of wine in his left.
A snap titled "Sleepy Wayne" features one of the women posing beside him with her tongue out while making the peace sign.
In another image, a woman wearing a thong with her skirt around her knees poses just inches from Rooney’s head.

Another peace sign selfie showing Rooney asleep bears the words "X for looks off me n Rooney".
The images and videos surfaced on Twitter on Sunday morning after being shared among fans groups on WhatsApp.
Rooney has been in a relationship with childhood sweetheart Coleen for nearly two decades.
The Mirror has approached Rooney's representatives for comment.
