Footballer Wayne Rooney has declared his love for wife Coleen while she shared a touching message to other mums to "stay strong".
The former Everton footballer used his Instagram page to wish his childhood sweetheart a Happy Mother's Day, after a year of challenges and fresh starts.
Alongside a holiday, family picture of the mum-of-four - with their sons - Kai, nine, Klay, five, Kit, three and Cass 11 months - he wrote: "Happy Mother's Day @coleen_rooney. Thanks for everything you do for our boys, we love you."
Meanwhile over on her Twitter page Coleen wrote her own touching message to other mums.
She wrote: "Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mums out there. Thinking of everybody in whatever situation ... stay strong."
Wayne and Coleen moved to Washington last year for a fresh start - following Wayne's drink driving arrest.
However the DC United player was in the headlines again in December after he was arrested for "public intoxication".
Before the move Coleen was open about the fact she would miss her mum - who she has always been very close to.
And today it seems the Liverpool beauty was missing her Croxteth family, sharing a post to say it would be the first mother's day she has spent without her mum.
She wrote: "First Mother’s Day I am not going to be with you Mum, but we have loads to look forward to!!
"Thank you for making me ME and giving your everything to all of us and also helping me be a mum and raise my children. I love you so much."
