Wayne Rooney 'fears Coleen will fall for Strictly Come Dancing curse' if she takes part

Wayne Rooney is said to have reservations about his wife Coleen taking part in Strictly Come Dancing.

The WAG, 34, is thought to be in talks with Strictly bosses to take part this year in a bid to revive her TV career.

But Wayne, also 34, is concerned about the infamous Strictly curse hitting their marriage, it's claimed.

A huge number of celebrities who started Strictly married or in long-term relationships ended the show single because of their rumoured closeness to their dance partners.

And while Wayne is said to be supportive of her relaunching her career, he doesn't want Strictly to be the show on which she makes her big comeback.

A source told Heat magazine: "[Strictly] goes on for months and Coleen would be gone every weekend.

"He's also got the fear over the Strictly curse and Coleen getting paired with a good looking dance partner - that's not something he even wants to think about."

But Coleen has apparently laughed off his fears, particularly because of all the rumours about him cheating on her in the past.

The insider added: "She's warned him not to put any obstacles in her way - he needs to fully support her on this, after all she's put up with from him over the years."

Mirror Online has contacted the couple's reps for comment.

Coleen and Wayne are parents to Kai, 10, Klay, seven, Kit, four, and Cass, two.

Before becoming a mum Coleen had her own busy career.

She had perfumes, clothing ranges and books, as well as her own TV show Coleen's Real Women.

The busy mum-of-four has given most of her showbiz career up to focus on raising her boys.
