Wayne Rooney and wife Coleen give fans a peek inside their new £20m mansion

Wayne Rooney and Coleen have given fans a little glimpse into the £20 million mansion they finally moved into.

The couple and their children moved into the new home before Christmas after four years of delays.

They bought the 40-acre plot in Knutsford, Cheshire, back in 2017 for £4million, and have ploughed more than £16million into the lavish estate in order for it to be perfect for their family.

Coleen took to her Instagram on Christmas Day to wish fans a happy holiday and share a few snaps from their abode.

"Have an amazing Christmas everyone. Enjoy," along with a series of photos featuring the entire family.

In the first snap, Wayne, Coleen along with their four kids - Kai, 12, Klay, eight, Kit, five, and three-year-old Cass - wore matching pyjamas as they posed in their bright white living room.

Each pyjama top had a bear on it with different titles, including 'Daddy Bear', 'Boy Bear' etc.

Beside them stood a gargantuan Christmas tree decorated with white baubles and decorations. Behind them is a gorgeous fireplace.

The second snap showed Cass leaning over the hedge that looks into their luxurious garden.

The garden features a row of large trees that have all been wrapped in fairy lights. The garden seems to stretch on for quite some length.

One last snap had all their children standing behind each other as they posed by the fireplace.

Right in front of the fireplace sat a plate containing a carrot and a mince pie. Maybe Santa requested a specific meal.

Santa was also given a glass of milk and a glass of red wine.

The Rooney's were supposed to move into the giant six-bedroom mansion earlier, but couldn't due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Four years after snapping up the plot, the Rooneys have now moved into their home, dubbed a ‘Mini Versailles’ by the couple, in reference to the grand 17th-century French palace.

The house features a television room, bar, wine store, snooker room, cinema, gym, hot tub, swimming pool, plunge pool and steam room, as well as two lifts - one for the family, and one for any visiting guests.

There’s also horse stables, a huge garage that can accommodate six cars, a lavish orangery, and two man made lakes.

There’s also a whiskey and cigar room for former footballer Wayne, as well as a study and a library.
