The nightclub owner shared snaps on social media that showed him and the Geordie Shore star pretend to be engaged as Chloe flashed a huge diamond ring.
But the prank didn’t go down well with the fans who were left completely baffled as to why the Celebs Go Dating stars would pretend to get engaged.
In fact, many trolls rushed to the comments section of the post to call Wayne a "paedophile" and "creep" over the post.
Wayne was forced to defend himself yet again after a troll falsely branded him a "nonce" on Instagram.
He hit back: "You have love hearts on your bio for your family do you think your children would be proud of their father calling someone they don't know a sexual predator and a child molester and rapist?
"That's what a nonce is as you well know. Anyway reach out if you need help as we can pass you to the right people."
"Have a good evening with your family," Wayne added.
Following the duo’s engagement stunt last week, Wayne was ferociously trolled online as furious fans urged him to find a woman his own age.
The abuse escalated so much that Chloe felt compelled to stand up for her friend in a series of Instagram stories where she insisted that Wayne was an "amazing person".
A visibly upset Chloe insisted: “Some of the stuff that I have had to read about him is disgusting. I can’t believe the stuff he is getting called."
She went on: "Paedophile is such a strong word to call someone it is absolutely disgusting that he is getting called that when all his friends and family have to read that about him.
“Wayne is one of the most amazing people I have ever met in my life and he does not deserve the abuse and the awful words that are getting said about him I am disgusted having to read that."
Wayne is said to have pulled the engagement stunt in a bid to see if anyone would believe he'd popped the question to his co-star, who is 33 years his junior.
