Wayne Lineker, 58, announces he's 'engaged' to Chloe Ferry, 25, but fans unconvinced

Wayne Lineker has shared a snap of himself with Celebs Go Dating co-star Chloe Ferry - with a ring on her finger.

"She said YES!" the star wrote, "Love you @chloegshore1."

While there's no denying they were solid friends in the mansion, in the comments fans have speculated that it's a prank by the new pals.

Sean Lineker - Wayne's son - led the congratulations, writing: "Congrats! Can’t believe we had to keep this secret for so long !! Xx"

Co-star Curtis Pritchard added: "go on Wayne congratulations, big man, hahah love bro love!"

And Billie Jean Blackett, another of the stars, wrote: "You guys deserve to be happy."

Chloe also re-shared Wayne's post on her own Instagram Stories, and some reckon they spied the very same ring on a post Chloe shared yesterday.

But others aren't so convinced.

Chloe was recently linked to hunky model Kieran Bishop, whom she met on Celebs Go Dating, suggesting that snaps are a prank.

And some pointed out that the photos look like they were taken in the Celebs Go Dating mansion.

Wayne has also previously shared a snap of the two of them, captioning it: "Shame I'm not allowed to date the celebs."

If they really are engaged, they wouldn't be the first celebs to strike up a romance in the mansion, after Made In Chelsea's Sophie Hermann and DJ Tom Zanetti coupled up.

Meanwhile, Wayne addressed the age gap between himself at 58 and 25-year-old Chloe - confronting one commenter who said Chloe was "marrying an old man."

Wayne was having none of it, writing back: "Ageism is not a nice thing, you really shouldn't try to publicly humiliate someone."

He added that those who've suffered abuse can contact No Excuse For Abuse for help and guidance.
