Wayne and Coleen Rooney have enjoyed a rare date last night after his final game with DC United in America.
The couple had a night out with friends in Altrincham after he returned to the UK from Washington.
The former Manchester United ace and his wife smiled for the camera in a black and white photo shared on Coleen's Instagram, with former United player Darron Gibson and his wife Danielle.
Coleen captioned the snap: "It’s been a while.... Great to be back to weekday date nights and meeting up with friends."
She added two couple emojis, a dinner plate and the OK symbol.
The couple, who have four boys Kai, Klay, Kit and Cass, were last pictured together in August when they jetted back to the UK from Washington Airport.
"Lovely," said one fan.
"Gorgeous, " praised another follower.
Other fans' thoughts turned to football at the sight of Wayne back in the UK.
"Manage United one day Wayne, that's your destiny," said one.
Fans have been discussing on social media what Wayne might do after hanging up his famous boots.
"He has given so much to football from a very young age, will be odd if he didn't go into coaching and United is the perfect goal," said a fan when his Derby appointment was announced earlier this year.
Wayne, 33, will become player-coach with Championship side Derby County from January.
This summer Coleen looked happy after catching up with her pals over a six hour lunch at The Ivy restaurant in Spinningfields, days before the news broke that he had signed for Derby.
