Wayne and Coleen Rooney cheer England on as they create history at Wembley

Beaming England legend Wayne Rooney cheered on the icons of 2021 alongside wife Coleen and three of their children.

The former Three Lions captain saw Gareth Southgate's side earn a Euro 2020 final place after defeating Denmark 2-1.

It was a very late night for Kai, 11, Klay, eight and Kit, five after the semi-final went all the way to extra time.

Youngest son Cass, three, stayed at home.

Cheeky Klay joined thousands of fans inside Wembley in going topless at the full-time whistle before his brothers joined in.

Coleen, 35, uploaded a family snap and captioned her photo: "What a night!!…. Fantastic England, it’s almost Home."

She uploaded more snaps of the lads losing it as Harry Kane slotted home the winner.

Derby County manager Wayne took to his Instagram Stories and shared a snap of Kit on his shoulders after the tense match.

Wayne is loved by England fans , playing 120 times for his country between 2003 and 2018.

It was a welcome change of focus for Coleen.

Earlier it was revealed Rebekah Vardy has succeeded in her request to have parts of Coleen's defence thrown out by a High Court judge as their libel case rages on.

Wayne's wife, 35, accused fellow WAG Vardy's Instagram account of 'leaking false stories' about her in a tweet published in October 2019.

Rooney was dubbed 'Wagatha Christie' after claiming she'd spent months planting false stories on her private account which ended up in the papers, with only Vardy's account having access to them, she alleged.

Vardy, who is married to Leicester City star Jamie, has vehemently denied the claims.

At a hearing last month, lawyers for Vardy asked the High Court judge to strike parts of Rooney's defence from the evidence as they were "irrelevant or peripheral" to the case.

This included allegations of Vardy's close relationship with The Sun and her alleged but denied authorship of "The Secret Wag" column.

Mrs Justice Steyn agreed to dismiss a claim by Rooney that her fellow footballer's wife showed "publicity seeking behaviour" when sitting behind Mrs Rooney in someone else's seat at the 2016 Euros.

Mrs Justice Steyn found that even assuming the allegation was true, it would still not help Mrs Rooney's case.

She said: "The fact that a person seeks media coverage of their own attendance at a football match does not make it more probable that they would disclose private information about another person to the press."
