A Liverpool festival intended to take over Watertree Playground this summer has been postponed due to the coronavirus crisis.
Let’s Rock Liverpool was due to take over The Mystery for the first time this July, but now organisers have rearranged.
The lineup for the festival remains the same, with 80s icons such as Wet Wet Wet, Sister Sledge and Adam Ant headline the action packed day.
Let’s Rock organisers UK Live also hosted LockdownFest last week, which featured Tony Hadley, Wet Wet Wet, ABC and Jason Donovan, and raised more than £130,000 for Child Bereavement UK.
Organisers of the festival said: “We’re humbled by the generosity shown by our audience in raising £130,000 for Child Bereavement UK.
“We put together LockdownFest because we aren’t able to raise funds for the charity at our events this year, and because we felt we all needed a bit of a pick me up. There were so many great performances on the night, big thanks to all the artists who took part.
“This year really has proved that Let’s Rock is a family, and so finally we’d like to say a huge thank you to the Let’s Rock family for the incredible loyalty and understanding you’ve shown us during these exceptional times. We all deserve one hell of a party next summer.”
Let's Rock Liverpool festival took place in Croxteth Park last July, but the 2021 festival will be held at The Mystery, which is between Picton Road and Smithdown Road.
The rearranged festival will take place on Saturday, July 24, 2021.
Tickets for Let’s Rock start from £30 per person and are available now via www.letsrockliverpool.com .
