For the man with the flag that can be seen anywhere in the stadium, watching his beloved Knights from home has been hard.
"So, so hard," Damian McFarland told the Newcastle Herald on Friday.
"I've been barracking for the Knights for as long as I can remember, since I was born really. I love them.
"I've just been wishing so much that I could've been there in person to cheer them on."
With a small number of fans allowed into NRL matches from this round as COVID-19 restrictions begin to ease, the 29-year-old Gateshead man's dream will come true on Saturday when he makes the trip to Central Coast Stadium to watch the Knights take on the Melbourne Storm.

Mr McFarland and his mother Denise will be guests of the Knights, who on Friday revealed the 50 members who had secured double passes to attend tonight's blockbuster against the Storm.
The passionate Knights supporter is backing superstar Kalyn Ponga and teenage sensation Bradman Best to continue their strong form against the Storm and for Newcastle to keep its undefeated record intact.
"The boys have been playing so well," he said.
"They're buying into Adam O'Brien's vision of what he wants the club to be.
"I'm jumping out of my skin, I'm so excited for the game."

And will we see the giant flag on our TV screens when the match kick off in Gosford at 5.30pm on Saturday?
"I hope so," Mr McFarland said.
"I'm going to have a chat to Central Coast Stadium because everyone knows me for the flag, so it'd be great to have it."
