The stone garden of Jotenji temple in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka, is lit up in blue on Friday evening ahead of the meeting of G20 finance ministers and central bank governors being held in the city over the weekend. The garden's design was inspired by the nearby Genkainada sea. The Fukuoka city government and other entities organized the nighttime illumination to introduce the appeal of Fukuoka and Japanese culture to those visiting the city.
