Exiting Newcastle Knight Connor Watson's Hamilton South home has sold for $1.2 million.
The 25-year-old lived with close mate and Knights star Kalyn Ponga at 257 Beaumont Street for four years before putting the three-bedroom home on the market in September.
Ponga posted a picture of himself and Watson next to the property's sold sign on Instagram this week with the caption 'the memories were real'.
Robinson Property's Lyndall Allan said the the three-bedroom, 1930s home on 304 square metres had attracted a lot of Sydney interest before selling to Novocastrians.
"It was an older couple who loved the design and the layout of the house and the low maintenance," Ms Allan said.
"They also like the fact they could walk to Beaumont Street."
Watson and Ponga will lock horns in the NRL's opening round next season as the former begins a two-year deal at the Sydney Roosters.
