Watford vs Fulham
Premier League 2018-19
Venue: Vicarage Road
Date: Tuesday, 2 April, 2019
Kick-off time: 7:45pm GMT
Fulham's relegation from the Premier League after a brief one-year sojourn could be confirmed at Vicarage Road in midweek.
After suffering an eighth successive loss to quadruple-chasers Manchester City at the weekend in a match in which they failed to register a single shot on target at home, another defeat on Tuesday night would confirm their place alongside Huddersfield in next season's Championship.
The 2018-19 play-off winners are currently 16 points adrift of safety in 19th with only six matches remaining and their putrid defensive record - 72 goals conceded in just 32 games - is comfortably the worst in the top-flight.
Looking to condemn Scott Parker's side to an immediate return to the second tier are a Watford outfit that were unfortunate to suffer a slender defeat to Manchester United at the weekend and who have the small matter of an FA Cup semi-final clash with Wolves to come at Wembley next Sunday.
Watford vs Fulham team news and predicted line-ups
Watford could remain without Tom Cleverley, who missed out on a potential return to Old Trafford due to a calf tear that may yet keep him sidelined for the FA Cup semi-final.
However, Andre Gray and Jose Holebas both returned to Javi Gracia's matchday squad on Saturday after minor issues.
Fulham fielded a starting XI containing players that have notched just seven league goals between them this season against City, with top scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic absent.
Parker revealed after the match that the Serbian striker had been struggling for weeks with an ongoing stomach problem and would be monitored on a day-to-day basis.
Alfie Mawson and Marcus Bettinelli are both still sidelined.
Watford XI: Foster, Janmaat, Kabasele, Britos, Masina, Doucoure, Capoue, Hughes, Pereyra, Deeney, Deulofeu
Fulham XI: Rico, Christie, Chambers, Ream, Bryan, Cairney, Zambo Anguissa, Ayite, Sessegnon, Babel, Mitrovic
Score prediction: Watford 2-0 Fulham
The Hornets, currently 10th on 43 points, had long spells of possession against United at the weekend and may well have secured at least a point had their finishing been of a higher standard.
If they manage to remedy that and do not allow themselves to be distracted by their looming date at Wembley, then it is very difficult to envisage anything other than a straightforward home victory that would relegate their reeling opponents.

Head to Head history and results (h2h)
All three previous Premier League matches involving these two sides have ended in draws, including the first top-flight meeting for 11 years in September, which finished 1-1 after Mitrovic's late effort at Craven Cottage cancelled out a Gray goal scored inside 90 seconds.
