Watford manager Javi Gracia makes Man City claim ahead of FA Cup Final

Manchester City are not yet the best team in the world, according to the Watford manager Javi Gracia.

The Blues face Watford at Wembley in the FA Cup Final on Saturday as Pep Guardiola looks to steer his side to an unprecedented treble of domestic trophies.

City's victory against Brighton on Sunday ensured they pipped Liverpool to the Premier League title by a single point, and became the first team in a decade to retain the title.

It came after Guardiola's side beat Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final in February, though Gracia has still to be convinced of City's status as world-beaters.

"I think they're the best team in the Premier League but not in the world because their results speak about that," he said. "They won the Premier League and they deserve that recognition. The best in the world? We'll see."

Gracia was then asked about Guardiola's standing as the best manager in the world, and the Spaniard was equally coy.

"The best in the Premier League, yes," he explained. "Yesterday I was at the LMA dinner and I think he deserves that recognition as well.

"To speak about the best in the world, there are many very good managers and there are different opinions about that.

"If you only speak about the results, you have to say the team who wins is the best."
