Watford defender Ben Wilmot completes Swansea City loan switch

Watford's England Under-20 international Ben Wilmot has joined Swansea on loan.

The 19-year-old, who can play in the heart of defence or midfield, moved to Vicarage Road last summer from Stevenage as part of a deal worth around £1m.

Wilmot impressed during the first half of the campaign and then spent the second part of the season on loan at Udinese.

Now he will hope to gain more first-team experience after sealing the season-long move.

QPR were today closing in on the signing of midfielder Geoff Cameron from Stoke.

Midfielder Cameron was due to have a medical this morning ahead of a permanent move.

The 34-year-old, who made 19 appearances for the club last season, has been in talks for a few weeks over a return to Loftus Road.

Cameron had one year remaining on his Stoke deal but it is understood the club are willing to let him leave for free if they can reach a financial settlement with him.
