Watford confirm managerial change ahead of Arsenal visit

It is all change at Watford ahead of their Premier League game against Arsenal next week.

Unai Emery's men make the relatively short journey to Vicarage Road for the game against the Hornets in the first game after the international break.

The Premier League's bottom club have decided to use the break in order to make a change in the managerial hot seat.

Watford have started the season in a bad way, picking up just one point from their first four league games, they are the only Premier League side yet to register a win in the league this season.

That form have caused the hierarchy to make the decision to replace Javi Gracia with former manager Quique Sanchez Flores, who returns to Vicarage Road just four years after leaving the club.

Sanchez Flores has had spells in Spain and China since leaving Watford, leading Espanyol to an eighth place la Liga finish.

Arsene Wenger not ruling out leading a team at next World Cup

The Spaniard took charge of 44 Hornets games during his first spell in charge, winning 16, drawing nine and losing 19.

Both Arsenal and Watford go into the game on the back of draws in their last outing, Arsenal coming from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with north London rivals Tottenham while Watford drew 1-1 with Newcastle United.
