Waterside shooting incident sparks police probe as masked men fire gunshot through window

Police are appealing for witnesses after a gun shot was fired through the window of a house in Co Derry last night.

The incident, at Shearwater Way took place on Sunday 20 October at around 10pm.

It is reported that three masked men called to the house before firing a shot through the living room window.

A PSNI spokesperson appealed for information.

He said: "Officers would ask anyone who was in the area of Shearwater Way yesterday evening and has any information which could help them with their enquiries to contact police at Strand Road on 101 quoting reference number 1943 of 20/10/19.

"Information can also be given anonymously through the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
