Waterside homes at Trent Basin - with floor-to-ceiling windows - are selling fast, developers say

Over 70 percent of homes in the latest phase of a Nottingham waterside neighbourhood have been sold.

Some 21 out of the 30 homes in the second phase of Trent Basin have now been reserved or sold leaving seven riverside homes and two townhouses for sale.

Situated by the hook of the historical River Trent, the development opened its doors to its Phase Two show home in May.

With inspiration for some of the designs taken from the townhouses of Amsterdam, there is a continental feel to the development in places, especially with some homes facing the river and with features such as roof terraces, floor to ceiling windows and a winter garden with a retractable full-length window.

Sam Veal, chief executive of Blueprint, said: "Each of the homes at Trent Basin provide a different way of living in the heart of Nottingham. Home buyers are able to enjoy a calm, relaxing lifestyle near the water’s edge while being just minutes from the hustle and bustle of Nottingham city centre.

"Each of the homes have been individually designed to maximise views of the River Trent, including incorporating unique characteristics such as roof terraces and Winter Gardens and we believe it is these little touches that have made the homes so popular."

Prices for the nine remaining townhouses start from £245,000.  Riverside homes start from £420,000.
