Watership Down by Richard Adams – review

Watership Down is a book about two rabbits who are brothers, Fiver and Hazel, who are living in Sandleford Warren. Fiver, the younger brother, is convinced that it is in danger and that a great evil is about to befall the land, but nobody will listen to what he says. So the brothers and a few other courageous rabbits secretly leave the Warren, disobeying the rules, and hop into a vast and strange world. They are hunted by dogs and foxes trying to avoid farms and other threats, but still making new friends, Hazel, Fiver and their fellow rabbits dream of a new life in the green embrace of Watership Down.
I enjoyed reading this book as I could not put it down. It was as if the pages were turned for me. I recommend this book to everyone over 8. It is a wonderful read and will be interesting for everyone including adults.
