Waterlogging problem in Lucknow Municipal Corporation zone six

LUCKNOW: Around 200 people in Barawan Kala area of zone six of Lucknow Municipal Corporation are facing the waterlogging problem as work on drains is yet to be completed. Area residents raised the issue during the Lok Mangal Diwas here on Tuesday.

In her complaint to LMC commissioner Indrajit Singh, resident of Barawan Kala, Swati Maurya said that they were forced to live in waterlogged areas as LMC engineers have failed to ensure timely completion of drain-laying work. “We are also living in a constant fear of catching vector-borne diseases," she added. The commissioner directed LMC officials to conduct fogging and anti-larva spraying in the area. Directives were also issued to expedite the drain-laying work.
