Waterlogging: DSMNRU VC takes action

LUCKNOW: A day after TOI reported how waterlogging in front of Dr Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University (DSMNRU) girls' hostel gave a tough time to disabled students, the university authorities swung into action and got the water pumped out of the road.

Vice-chancellor professor Rana Krishna Pal Singh directed the engineering department team to ensure that waterlogging does not take place again and that the sewage treatment plant (STP) near the hostel is made functional.

"It will be ensured that the students don't face such problems in future. The water has been pumped out and the STP will be made functional with immediate effect," Singh said.
