Waterford and Clare's McGrath Cup match has been postponed due to Covid-19.
The two sides were meant to kick off pre-season on January 2 but the game has been called off due to a number of Covid-19 cases in the Waterford camp.
Waterford are also dealing with a number of injuries and close contacts of Covid-19.
In a statement released by Munster GAA, they said: "MATCH OFF - Sunday's McGrath Cup Football Group A match between Waterford and Clare has been postponed. Waterford are unable to field a team due to a number of Covid cases and close contacts as well as a number of injuries."
Munster GAA have also added that that the game has been postponed and a walkover has not been handed out just yet but did concede that time is not on the side of both counties.
Replying to a social media user asking about a walkover, they said: "No walkover - if match can be re-fixed it will be but time isn't on our side."
