Waterford ladies side with FORTY county titles in a row after stellar second half performance

Waterford side Ballymacarbry won their 40th county title in a row on Sunday as the club continues its reign as undisputed champions.

In what is a streak likely unmatched in GAA history, Ballymacarbry didn't have it all their own way on the day.

The defending champions didn't have it all their own way and found themselves losing by a point at half time.

But Waterford star Michelle Ryan, daughter of legendary manager Michael Ryan, kicked 2-2 as the side showed all their experience to win out 4-05 to 0-07.

And they will now hope for Munster success as the most successful club in ladies' history hope to get back to All-Ireland glory.

The club have won the All-Ireland title 10 times, more than any other club.

But they have not competed in the final since their victory back in 1998.
