Waterford have announced Fran Rockett as the club's new manager until the end of the season.
Rockett was part of the Blues' backroom team during Alan Reynolds' tenure and worked under John Sheridan during his 65-day stint at the club.
Sheridan left to take the reins at Wigan Athletic earlier this month after guiding Waterford into the European places in the League of Ireland Premier Division.
A Waterford statement read: "Waterford FC is delighted to announce that Fran Rockett will handle first-team affairs for the remainder of the season.
"Fran will be assisted by formers Blues player and coach David Breen who returns to the club from Wexford FC.
"The club will also be making an announcement later today regarding season ticket holders access to upcoming games."
