A romantic walk that leads on to a spectacular waterfall is less than two hours away from Liverpool.
Swallow Falls in Betws-y-Coed, Conwy is one of North Wales's best-known natural attractions, having been featured in paintings, postcards and films.
The waterfall attracts visitors from all over the world and at 42 metres is the highest continuous waterfall in Wales. It is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty where the river Llugwy flows through a narrow chasm creating a cascade.

While the falls can be viewed from above the river, with no strenuous walking required, there is a circular trail which takes ramblers along scenic paths through the Gwydir Forest.
The walk starts at Ty'n Llwyn car park (free of charge) and descends through the woodland up to Swallow Falls. The path passes by trees and rocky outcrops to another viewpoint with views of Moel Siabod and the Snowdon Horseshoe.
The route is around two and a quarter miles and takes two and a half hours. Much of it is narrow and steep making some of the pathways uneven.
It is waymarked from start to finish.
