MYSURU: Mysuru district in-charge minister ST Somashekar informed that 1,000 cusecs of water will be released from the Kabini dam in HD Kote taluk for irrigation starting from July 15. He was speaking after participating in the irrigation advisory meeting on Tuesday.
At first, water will be released to lakes. These lakes are already 30% full. Subsequently, water will be released to canals, he informed. Between July 15 and 24, water will be released to lakes and between July 25 and August 14, water will be released to canals, he informed. MLAs Aswin Kumar, B Harshavardhan, Mysuru DC Bagadi Gautham and others were present.
