Water spotted bursting out of Edinburgh wall as capital braced for more rain

A wall in Edinburgh has been retaining water and showering it back out at people as they walk past.

Concerns were raised to Edinburgh City Council in a video which shows the wall at Broughton Street / Rodney Street spewing out liquid as people walked past.

The wall is said to be 'retaining water', in the busy residential area and Edinburgh City Council say they are now investigating it.

The news comes as Edinburgh was placed under another yellow weather warning for ice with the capital set to be drenched with rain tonight according to the Met Office.

A video of the wall leaking water was posted by concerned local Eve McCurrich, who penned: "@Edinburgh_CC I think you need to check this retaining wall on Broughton st / a Rodney street."

Edinburgh City Council responded: "Hi There, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have contacted the appropriate teams and we are working together to rectify this situation as soon as possible."
