Water gushes through family's garden as Storm Dennis hits

The garden of a family home has been engulfed in rain water as Storm Dennis hits.

Fire crews were reportedly called to the property as water gushed through the garden of the property in Aberdare.

Video clips show dozens of sandbags attempting to hold back the water as deep floodwater gathers around the house.

The water is thought to be flowing from the mountain behind the house in Bro Deg, Cwmbach.

Tracy Wood, who owns the property, said multiple houses on the street had been affected. She said: "It's taken a week to get some sort of help. It's not just me, it's five houses on my row.

"We have had constant sandbags deliveries today (Saturday) and the fire brigade are here now as it's getting worse.

"It's getting worse by the hour."

Videos show the water has also flooded the front garden of the properties, creating a swamp near the road.

The storm has been battering Wales throughout Saturday just a week after Storm Ciara wreaked havoc.

The Met Office has issued yellow and amber weather warnings for Wales on Saturday and Sunday.

More high winds and heavy rain are forecast to hit Wales later this weekend.
