Watches and suspected stolen items worth £12k found by cops

Police found suspected stolen items worth £12,000 after searching homes in Salford.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of theft and handling of stolen goods by officers working in Trafford.

Photographs shared by police show suitcases, luggage, shoe boxes, trainers and a display box of watches which were all seized.

The property was recovered following house searches in Salford (GMP Trafford West Facebook)

Greater Manchester Police said the items are thought to have come from a “Trafford Fashion Retail Outlet”.

Two suspects are in custody due to be interviewed by officers.

A post on the GMP Trafford North Facebook page posted in Thursday morning (September 10) reads: “Trafford West Neighbourhood Team working in conjunction with European Loss Prevention officers arrest two adult males on suspicion of Theft and Handling of Stolen items from a Trafford Fashion Retail Outlet.

“Following enquiries and house searches in Salford a substantial amount of property recovered to a value in excess of £12,000 pounds.

“Offenders are in custody awaiting interview.

“Enquiries are ongoing.

“Update on progress to follow soon....
