The bidding war to endorse Zion Williamson is over.
Williamson shared on his Instagram Tuesday that he’s joining Jordan Brand, a subset of Nike. The NBA rookie posted a reveal video in which a Jordan Brand logo slowly appeared on the front of his jersey. The caption reads, “Let’s Dance #JUMPMAN”
We’re still waiting on the financials of the sponsorship deal, but it has long been expected to be one of the most lucrative deals for a rookie in the history of the NBA.
Michael Jordan, the founder of Jordan Brand, said in a statement: “[Zion is] an essential part of the new talent that will help lead the brand into the future. He told us he would ‘shock the world,’ and asked us to believe him. We do.”
