This incredible video footage shows the moment a dramatic thunderstorm erupted in Greater Manchester overnight.
It was the second thunderstorm to batter the region this week, sparked by baking hot temperatures during a heatwave in the region.
Many readers captured the moment flashes of lightning illuminated the Manchester skyline.
Although it did not strike the whole of the region, thunder and lightning was heard in Salford, the city centre, Middleton and Oldham.

A slow-motion video taken by Ian Pamment shows forks of lighting flickering over cranes in Spinningfield.
Another incredible video, shot in Middleton at 2am, shows how bright it was during the lightning strikes.
Many Mancunian's said they were woken up by the loud claps of thunder in the early hours of the morning.
Todd Galloway tweeted: "Can hear thunder here in Manchester now though. Maybe things will cool down a little."
Lee W also wrote: "Bloody boiling yesterday now experiencing a nice thunder and lightning show ..... can we just go back to some good old fashion 'Manchester' rain please."
The thunderstorm brought an abrupt end to the heatwave in Greater Manchester, with a spell of heavy rain forecast for the weekend.
Forecasters at the Met Office have issued a yellow weather alert, warning of a spell of heavy rain in the region.
The weather warning is in place from 9am on Saturday until 3pm on Sunday.
