WATCH: Yankees prospect breaks up no-hitter, receives death threats

The New York Yankees’ Double-A Affiliate, the Trenton Thunder, is looking into online death threats directed at one of their players after he bunted for a single, breaking up a no-hitter, earlier this week.

Matt Lipka’s base hit wasn’t worth anything more than just that as his team still fell 3-0 to the Hartford Yard Goats (of the Colorado Rockies organization). The combined shutout by the Yard Goats’ pitching staff was a product of four pitchers’ work over the nine innings. The benches cleared after the final out was recorded in the game, and there was yelling but no fighting according to reporters who were at the game.
