Out of sight but very much not out of mind, Boston Celtics floor general Yam Madar is making the most of his “stash” season in the Israeli Basketball Premier League (IBPL) with his club Hapoel Tel Aviv, with whom the No. 47 pick of the 2020 NBA draft will play for during the Celtics 2020-21 campaign.
The 6-foot-3 Madar has the size to play the point at the next level, and has shown flashes of why Danny Ainge and Boston’s front office drafted the 19-year-old in his play in the IBPL to date, his most recent game against Ironi Nahariya, another team from that league based in northern Israel.
Madar scored 18 points and 4 assists in Hapoel Tel Aviv’s 94 – 71 win in 32 minutes of game time, the highlights from which you can watch in the video above, produced by Tomasz Kordylewski.
