NEW DELHI: Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal became India's first centurion in the five-Test series against England after lunch on the opening day of the second match on Friday in Visakhapatnam.
The left-hander reached the milestone by hitting a six off left-arm spinner Tom Hartley after India elected to bat.
The BCCI shared the video of Jaiswal reaching the landmark on X:
Jaiswal, playing his sixth Test since his debut last year, made 80 in the first Indian innings of the opening match in Hyderabad, which India had lost by 28 runs on Day 4.
Jaiswal had hit 171 against the West Indies on his Test debut at Roseau in Dominica in July last year.
