WATCH: What Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano said about Ohio State postgame

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights looked awfully intent on upsetting the Ohio State football team through about a half of football. In fact, the Buckeyes headed to the locker room down after 30 minutes of play and had to find a way to play better in the second half.

There’s no doubt the Rutgers program is getting better and should continue to do so under head coach Greg Schiano’s second stint in Piscataway. Somewhere down the line, the Scarlet Knights will break through against Ohio State, but it wasn’t meant to be on Saturday in a 35-16 OSU victory.

Schiano met with the media for his postgame press conference after the loss to the Buckeyes, and we’ve got the entire 10 minutes or so thanks to the Rutgers football YouTube channel in case you missed any of what he said.

Schiano was very complimentary of Ohio State. He talked about the talent of the OSU defense, how good the duo of Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka are, why the Buckeyes are ranked No. 1, and more.

Ohio State turns the page to next week and will begin preparations to host Michigan State next Saturday. Stay with us for a week of coverage leading up to the game.
