WATCH: Was the Raptors win the end of the Drake Curse?

The Toronto Raptors are the 2019 NBA champions and superfan Drake celebrated accordingly Thursday night. With his team winning the title, the only question left to ask is whether the Drake curse is over or not.

The rapper has a track record of rooting for great sports teams, programs and athletes … only for the team or athlete in question to lose soon afterward. There are plenty of examples, from the Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball team, Serena Williams’ 2015 U.S. Open loss, Johnny Manziel’s entire career, the 2016 Golden State Warriors, the 2019 Alabama Crimson Tide, and most recently, boxer Anthony Joseph. But now, the global ambassador for the NBA team has a solid case to say his fandom doesn’t bring a curse (but maybe don’t talk to the Warriors, who suffered a slew of injuries en route to losing to the only team Drake likes more than he likes them).
