Watch: Vonn Bell comes through with two fumble recoveries vs. Cowboys

New Orleans Saints safety Vonn Bell just keeps putting himself in the right place at the right time. Bell has recovered three fumbles in his last two games, and we’re only at halftime against the Dallas Cowboys.

Two of those fumbles were created by teammates; last week, cornerback Eli Apple punched the ball loose from Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson. On Sunday versus the Cowboys, linebacker A.J. Klein forced his own fumble out of the grasp of veteran tight end Jason Witten, who fumbled for just the ninth time in his 246-game career.

The third fumble was created (and recovered) by Bell himself, who tackled Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott at the down marker on a critical fourth down and managed to wrestle the ball away from him before he could be ruled down. Bell is in a contract year, and he’s playing like he wants to earn a payday. Watch each of the big plays for yourself:

The Saints lead at halftime 9-3, and they’ll get the ball back to start the second half. The defense has done its part. Hopefully the offense can do a better job of taking advantage of these opportunities.
