Denver Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller was in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday evening to accept the 2019 Jefferson Award for Outstanding Public Service in Sports. Former teammate DeMarcus Ware presented the award:
Miller’s foundation, Von’s Vision, has raised over $4.5 million to help provide eyewear and vision care to low-income children.
“I’m so honored to share this stage with some many of you guys tonight, the other honorees,” Miller said. “So many moving stories from start to finish. It’s been a true blessing to be here with you guys.”
