WATCH: Vikings WR Stefon Diggs does not dispel rumors that he wants to be traded

Stefon Diggs returned to Vikings practice Thursday, after being listed on Wednesday’s injury report as absent for a “non-football injury.”

While the wide receiver said that it was a cold that kept him off the field Wednesday, he did not dispel rumors that he wants to be traded from Minnesota.

“I said there’s truth to all rumors,” Diggs said, according to The Athletic. “What I mean by that … there’s a lot of speculation of me being frustrated. Of course, being a receiver and wanting to have success and wanting to win. If you’re not winning, of course, you’ll be frustrated. That’s my answer.”

Diggs also said that he had not had conversations with the team specifically about being traded, adding the conversations he’s had “have only been about the team and trying to have success on the field,” according to ESPN. The 25-year-old also directed reporters to his agent when asked if his representation had formally requested the player be traded.

Diggs signed a five-year extension with the Vikings (2-2), which selected him in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, in July 2018. Minnesota travels this weekend to play the New York Giants (2-2) Sunday. Diggs said Thursday that he hopes to play in the Week 5 game.
