Watch Victoria Derbyshire drop C-bomb live on BBC show

BBC presenter Victoria Derbyshire has apologised after appearing to refer to Jeremy Hunt using the c-word live on her TV show.

It is not the first time that the politician - and now Tory leadership contender - has had his name mis-spoken in similar fashion.

Presenters on both television and radio have been guilty of the verbal slip-up. Sky News and BBC presenters, as well as Channel 4 and Channel 5 hosts, have all been heard making the gaffe.

And the latest to drop the C-bomb was Derbyshire, live on her BBC show today (Monday, June 10), reports Birmingham Live.

The presenter mispronounced his surname by replacing a crucial consonant.

"You say that the man you're backing, Jeremy C***," said Victoria, before realising her mistake.

She swiftly said: "I'm so sorry."

She added: "Jeremy Hunt."

She continued: "I've never said that before in my life, it's usually men who say that, so I really want to apologise.

"I'm sorry."

A Twitter user shared a clip of the hilarious moment, captioning it: "Freudian slip."

"She was right the first time," a second joked.

"Love it," wrote a second.

"She's got a point," a third chipped in.

Fellow broadcasters including Sky anchor Claudia-Liza Armah have made the same slip over Hunt’s surname across the years.

Sky News health and science correspondent Thomas Moore has also been guilty.

BBC political journalist Ellie Price also made the error.
